Arctic Royale is a Brazilian feldspar with a glacial-white background speckled with grey and black crystals — like fresh-fallen snow under northern light. An igneous rock of medium granulation, formed by the slow cooling of magma: the basis for its hardness, resistance, and crystalline brilliance.
It is a serene, sophisticated material that brings openness and light to any space. It pairs with woods, dark metals, deep blues, and off-whites — a quiet protagonist on countertops, islands, and walls.

Feldspar (igneous rock) with a white background speckled with grey and black. The technological characterization was carried out according to the standard ABNT NBR 15845/2015 (certificate CEPED 231/2019, Galiléia–MG). The values below are those of the official report.
Characterization by physical indices and mechanical tests (CEPED 231/2019, NBR 15845/2015). An igneous rock with a feldspathic matrix, with quartz and biotite; macroscopically, a glacial-white background speckled with grey and black. Classification: feldspar.
Average values from certificate CEPED 231/2019: apparent specific mass 2.64 g/cm³, apparent porosity 0.28% and water absorption 0.11% — very low. Good predictability, great response to sealers and consistent performance in wet areas with proper specification and maintenance.
From the report: uniaxial compression 29.09 MPa, flexural strength of 3.76 MPa (3-point) and 1.30 MPa (4-point), hard-body impact with a rupture drop height of ≈ 59 cm (energy 8.3 J) and very low abrasion wear (0.0066 cm³/cm²) — mechanical values typical of a feldspathic rock. For relevant spans, inset countertops or cantilevered steps, the final decision rests with the engineer of record.
Freeze/thaw resistance with a K coefficient of 0.89 (CEPED 231/2019): the material retains ~89% of its strength after the cycles. Low linear thermal expansion (average of 3.30 ×10⁻³ mm/m·°C on heating and 3.13 ×10⁻³ on cooling) — good dimensional stability for façades and outdoor areas.
Values taken from the official certificate CEPED 231/2019 (ABNT NBR 15845/2015), sample from Galiléia–MG. Validation of structural design and fastening by the engineer responsible for the project is always recommended, taking into account natural variations between batches and slabs.
Arctic Royale is a feldspar: a natural stone of very high hardness and low absorption. Highly resistant, but — like any natural stone — it benefits from periodic sealing and a gentle cleaning routine.
A soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge, warm water, and neutral detergent. Always dry after cleaning and wipe up spills right away.
Seal with a quality water-repellent, reapplied every 1 to 3 years depending on use — feldspar is low in porosity, but the barrier eases cleaning.
Very heat-resistant, but extreme thermal shock can mark it. Use trivets to be safe.
It resists scratches well, but avoid cutting directly on the surface (it dulls your knives) and dropping heavy objects on the edges.
After installation, wait about 24h before using the surface (curing of adhesives and sealants). Always check the instructions from your feldspar's manufacturer and the fabricator responsible.
